Wayne Beacham Obituary

Originally from Milton, Wayne Beacham built a beautiful life with his late wife, Karyn (Villard) Beacham, and their two children in Canton, MA. In 2016, Wayne was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer and in 2023 he was further diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer. Despite the countless procedures, surgeries, and treatments over the past 8 years, he defied the odds and quietly fought every day for more moments with his children and grandchildren.

Wayne found joy in the simple pleasures of life. The love he shared with his wife Karyn, his best friend and highschool sweetheart, was truly a quintessential love story only few are fortunate enough to experience. He was a dedicated father, cheering on his son at countless hockey games and always being there to help his daughter with anything she needed. Weekends were often spent chopping wood and building decks and gazebos with his brother Glenn. He loved camping trips with his cousins, the annual summer vacations in the Outer Banks, listening to Johnny Cash, and his evenings (and occasional mornings) were often capped off with a glass of Jim Beam.

Contrary to his late wife Karyn who could strike up conversation with just about anyone, Wayne was a quiet man. Only those who knew him well had the privilege of experiencing his sharp wit - or as his wife preferred to call it, his “smart ass” behavior - that brought smiles and laughter to everyone around him. He was hard working, intelligent, loyal, and consistently prioritized family above all else.

He leaves behind his two children, Renee (Beacham) Roberts and Mikel Beacham, his three grandchildren, Ellie Rae Roberts, Michael “Buck” Roberts, and Caroline Beacham, who lovingly called him "Papadoodle", and his older brother, Glenn Beacham. But above all, he will be deeply missed by his incredibly spoiled 85-pound bulldog, Gus, who was never far from his side and will undoubtedly miss his company and being showered with treats.

Wayne's strength, love for his family, and quiet determination to fight will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.

Celebration of life visiting hours will be held at Elsie’s Table, 497 Washington St, Canton, MA on Thursday, September 19th, 2024 from 1pm - 6pm. Please join us for some light fare and a glass of Jim Beam to toast to a life well lived.
