Warren James Withington, age 58 who was so loved and cherished by his family through his kindness, and love who touched the lives of so many, passed away after a short and gallant battle on April 4, 2025, at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 10, 1966,in Westerly, Rhode Island. Warren’s journey through life was marked by his love of his family and friends through his dedication and love to all.
Warren began life in Westerly, Rhode Island surrounded by his family, and many animals including Peter Puddle Duck where his love of outdoors and animals blossomed. His family then moved to Millbury, Massachusetts where Warren graduated from Millbury High School. He moved to Boston where he was the Owner and Operator of Lazy Laundry in Boston. He loved cooking and baking and treating his family with cookies from Lamberts and many other tasty treats.
Family was the cornerstone of Warren’s life. He was the beloved husband of Stacie H. (Cohen) and a devoted father to his pride and joy his twin children, Samuel M.Withington and Genevieve N. Withington of Stoughton. His pride in his children was immeasurable, especially as he celebrated his children graduating from college in 2024. Warren’s love extended to his sister, Suzanne M.Withington, and her wife Cheryl Laliberte of N. Grafton. He was the cherished son of the late Genevieve (Semmelroth) and the late Otis Warren Withington. He was the dearly loved son-in-law to Harriet Cohen of Canton and the late Robert F.Cohen. He was the beloved Uncle of Jacqueline and Benjamin Goodrich. His warm presence will also be missed by his large circle of friends, who were his family and were a constant source of joy and support.
Warren's life was a testament to his unwavering commitment to his loved ones. Together with his wife, Stacie, he recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a memorable trip to the Dominican Republic, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Warren and Stacie who were together for thirty-three years lead a life of pure love and friendship that was an incredible partnership of true everlasting love.
Warren was extremely proud of his children. Warren’s hard work and determination and work ethic was a proud legacy he left to his children who knew to never stop giving one hundred percent. He was proud that he instilled a love of patience and love and a promise to never go to bed angry.
In moments of leisure, Warren found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved resting on his porch and reading a good Stephen King book. He loved planting his vegetable garden and giving all his friends fresh vegetables. He loved being with his family pets including his Cheddar (The Great Pyrenees) who predeceased him and his beloved Hopper Lewis the Black Cat who stole his heart. He had a love of the outdoors and had a deep appreciation for life’s natural beauty. Warren enjoyed writing, maintaining a journal where he could capture his thoughts and experiences. His love for the classic cinema shone through his admiration for John Wayne movies and found comfort from music that was ever-present in his life.
As we bid farewell to Warren James Withington, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart generously given. His memory will be treasured in the hearts of his family and friends as a beacon of love and kindness. Warren’s journey on this earth has ended, but the impact of his life will continue to resonate with those who were fortunate enough to have known

The family welcomes family and friends for a Time to Remember and to Celebrate Warren on Saturday April 12th from 3:00-8:00 P.M. at the VFW Lodge located at 14 Seaver Street, Stoughton, Mass, 02072. On Sunday, April 13, you can celebrate Warren’s life at Withington’s residence from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M.
