Susan Gorman Obituary

Susan V. Gorman, age 70, a cherished sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2024, at Milford Healthcare in Milford, MA. Born in Canton, Massachusetts, Susan was the loving daughter of the late Elizabeth A. and Philip J. Gorman. Her warmth and kindness touched all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.

Raised in the close-knit community of Canton, Susan was a proud graduate of Canton High School. Susan also graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts degree finishing up her education. Susan's career took an exciting turn when she became a Blackjack Dealer in Atlantic City, a role she thrived in for many years. Her creative mind and engaging personality made her a favorite among patrons and colleagues alike.

Susan's life was a testament to the importance of family. She was a dedicated sister to Elizabeth Dubrey of Wrentham, Deborah J. Sprague (deceased) of Randolph, Pamela E. Gorman of Canton, and Philip J. Gorman of Sharon. Her sisters and brother knew they could always count on Susan for support, laughter, and love. The bond she shared with her siblings was unbreakable, and her absence will leave a void that cannot be filled.

Those who knew Susan understood her passion for life's simple pleasures. She was extremely family-oriented, often gathering her loved ones for memorable moments over music, coffee and shared stories. Rock & Roll was a constant companion in her life, providing a soundtrack to her most cherished experiences. A cup of coffee in hand and a cigarette were her signature accessories and her presence was a comforting fixture at family events.

Susan's character was the epitome of loving. She approached every person with an open heart and a willingness to help. Her kindness was not just an attribute but a way of life. Friends and family will remember her for her gentle spirit.

As we say goodbye to Susan, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a beacon of love and kindness. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched and the fond memories she leaves behind. Susan's journey through life, although challenged by schizophrenia, was a beautiful one, and she will be forever remembered as a light in the lives of those who knew her.

A private service will be held to honor Susan's life, allowing those who were closest to her to reflect on the joy and love she brought into their lives. Her memory will continue to inspire us all to live with the same compassion and warmth that she exemplified every day.

A private family burial will be held at Canton Corner Cemetery.
