Roslyn “Roz” (Paulo) Lowney of Canton age 71, passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2025. Roz was born in Fall River, MA on March 31, 1953, to the late Charles and Marion (Franco) Paulo. She was the oldest of four sisters and a graduate of the class of 1971 from B.M.C Durfee High School and Diman Regional School of Practical Nursing where she earned her L.P.N. Degree.
Roz is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 50 years, Dr. Timothy Lowney, Sr.; her four children Dr. Rachael Marcantonio and her husband Dr. Andrew Marcantonio, Jessica Sergi, Esq. and her husband Michael, Dr. Timothy Lowney Jr. and his wife Rebecca (Carbeau), and Katherine Lowney, COO, Family Medical Associates, and her partner David Monahan. Grandma is also survived by her nine beloved grandchildren, Jack and Sean Marcantonio; Hope, Eve, and Faye Sergi; Elizabeth, William, Catherine, and Christopher Lowney.
She also leaves behind her cherished sisters Karen and the late Armand Ouellette, Sandra and Glen Aballo, Christine and Andrew Reilly; additionally many beloved brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Roz was the matriarch of her family which she lovingly raised in Canton, MA. Alongside her husband, Roz helped manage the business of Family Medical Associates, which has served Canton and the surrounding communities for over 45 years. Roz summered over 35 years in Megansett with her children and grandchildren admiring sunsets with Tim, and spending many happy times with her friends and family on the deck of MYC. Roz and Tim moved to Beacon Hill for 15 years, a dream they fulfilled after their children were grown; they explored the city's restaurants and shops (another of Roz's passions). A longtime member of Pocasset Golf Club, Roz enjoyed playing golf with her husband and friends; more recently, she loved watching her grandchildren learn to play. Roz and Tim enjoyed winters at the Delray Beach Club with good friends playing canasta and relaxing at the beach.
Roz absolutely adored her nine grandchildren and as her family expanded, she and Tim moved back to Canton so they could host large family holidays and milestones, as well as many gatherings with their extended family and friends. Roz was extremely generous, always making plans to bring friends and family together. Roz was adventurous in spirit and a world traveler. She and Tim enjoyed exploring the world together. Her favorite destination was Paris but traveled throughout Europe and the Caribbean.
Roz was a person of deep faith who always put her trust in God. Her most cherished moments in life were spent with her family. We wish we had more time with her but treasure the time we had.
