Rosaline M Mihaich

Rosaline M. (Conlon) Mihaich, a cherished wife and mother, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, in Dedham, MA, at the age of 80.

Born in Sligo, Ireland, on October 5, 1945, Rosaline is predeceased by her parents Francis and Elizabeth Conlon. She was the beloved wife of the late Evan Mihaich for 49 years before his passing in 2010.  She is survived by her son Evan Mihaich and his wife Jamie of Canton, and her daughter Amy Mercer and her husband Will of Needham. She leaves her grandchildren, Katie Mercer, Maddy Mercer, Evan Mihaich Jr, Willie Mercer and Owen Mihaich. Rosaline is also survived by her brother Willie Conlon, Ireland; cousin Marcella Teece, North Carolina; sister-in-law Joan Mihaich, North Carolina; brother-in-law Angelo Mihaich, Croatia and many cousins, nephews and nieces.  Rosaline is predeceased by her siblings Betty, Francis, and Aileen.

Rosaline’s childhood in Sligo included Irish dancing, ocean lifeguarding, receiving awards for Gaelic studies, becoming an exceptional seamstress and spending time with her family.  Rosaline came to Boston at the age of 18 and met the love of her life, Evan, and raised her family in Needham.  Rosaline enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, she was an avid reader and she enjoyed traveling.  Her travels brought her to Europe to visit family in Sligo and Croatia, to Canada for both youth activities and leisure, and across the United States including Florida and Alaska.  While raising her family, she ran a daycare out of her home and later in life she also cared for her grandchildren who she adored.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, January 2nd, at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes in Newton at 10:30 a.m. The family will be arriving at the church at 10 a.m. to receive relatives and friends prior to the Mass. Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Needham.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute in her loving memory.
