Richard F. "Dick" Minsk, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, at Boston Medical Center, Brighton. Born in Bolton, MA, and raised in Dorchester, Dick was a man of integrity, warmth, and generosity, whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew him.
A graduate of Boston Latin High School and Boston College Class of 1963, Dick's commitment to education was a cornerstone of his life. His academic achievements laid the foundation for a successful career as a CPA. For many years, he was a respected partner at Minsk, Gould, Tattrie, & Lussier LLC. in Dedham. Dick's passion for his work was evident in his dedication to helping others, and his professional accomplishments were matched only by his kindness and reliable nature.
Dick's love story with his beloved wife Linda Minsk (Goldberg) was one for the ages. Together, they built a family rooted in love and laughter. He was a devoted father to Karen Etzkorn and her husband Dennis of Medfield, David Minsk and his wife Judy of Walpole, and Jason Minsk and his wife Catherine of Franklin. His role as a brother was equally cherished, sharing many of life's joys and challenges with his sister Elaine McGill of Stoughton.
The light of his life shone brightly in his role as a grandfather to Derek, Tyler, and Gavin Etzkorn, Amanda and Kaitlin Minsk, and Carson and Sutton Minsk. The birth of his great-grandchildren Archer & Dutton Etzkorn brought him immeasurable joy, further extending the legacy of love he so beautifully cultivated.
Dick's life in Sharon for 26 years was full of community involvement and leisure pursuits that reflected his diverse interests. An avid golfer, he found camaraderie and competition as a member of the Sharon Men's Golf Club. His leadership skills shone through during his tenure as the Former President of the Norwood Rotary Club, and his commitment to community service was further demonstrated as a member of the Sharon Men's Club.
When not serving his community or spending time with family, Dick could be found indulging in his love of film. A true movie buff, he reveled in the classic tales of heroism and adventure found in John Wayne's army and cowboy films and Errol Flynn's swashbuckling escapades.
Dick's legacy is also marked by his love for his many dogs who provided him with companionship and joy throughout his life. Currently his 3 dogs Carla, Luna and Boots kept him busy with daily walks.
