Quan Q Tran

Quan Quan Tran, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2024, at the age of 72, in Chelsea, MA, due to respiratory failure after years of living with COPD. Born on June 20, 1952, in Bac Lieu, Vietnam, Quan emigrated to the United States in hopes of a brighter future and to financially support his family in Vietnam.

Quan's life was a testament to the strength of his character and the depth of his love for his family. He is survived by his devoted spouse and a loving father to his children and grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Quan was known for his altruism, kindness, and handy skills. He spent many years in the field of property maintenance, where he was not only proficient but also compassionate, often going above and beyond to help tenants with repairs. His generosity of spirit continued even after retirement, as he never hesitated to lend a helping hand to friends, family, and neighbors in need.

Quan's interests were simple yet fulfilling. He found great pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren, Leah and Lucas. Whether it was watching them at swim lessons, helping them build magnet tile skyscrapers, or folding their laundry while babysitting, these moments were among the happiest in his life. His grandchildren will remember him as a source of wisdom, laughter, and unconditional love.

Those who knew Quan would describe him as a quiet man of great heart. 

As we say goodbye to Quan Quan Tran, we celebrate a life that was rich in the things that matter most – family, friendship, and the joy of giving to others. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and the memories shared with him will be cherished forever. Quan's journey on this earth has ended, but the love he shared will endure, a beacon of light for all who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life.

Visiting hours will be held at Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington St. Canton, MA 02021 from 11:30 a.m.- 12:45 p.m. on Thursday September 26th. Services will be private.
