Phyllis A. Gould (née Jubett), age 95, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2024, at Brookmeadow at Blue Hills in Stoughton. Born in Boston, MA. She graduated from Randolph High School and spent most of her life in Sharon.
She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend. She was the wife of the late Leon Gould, and together they forged a family founded on warmth and affection. She is survived by her devoted children, Lawrence Gould of Boston, Kenneth Gould and his wife Nancy of Burbank, CA, Stephanie Linnehan and her husband Daniel of Foxboro and mother of the late Phyllis Handy. She is also survived by her grandchildren Nicholas, Daniel, David and Andrew, her nieces, nephews and relatives. Sister of Kenneth Jubett and his wife Mary Lynn of Milford, NH, and the late Tina Melcher, Ernest Jubett, Louis Jubett and Frank Jubett.
In her early years, Phyllis worked in the fashion industry as a model. She was also a member of Screen Actors Guild and enjoyed working as extra in films. Her career path later led her to the pharmaceutical industry where she worked in Merchandising. Phyllis's talents and charisma eventually guided her to a fulfilling role in Advertising Sales. She also enjoyed volunteering for a number of organizations.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Phyllis enjoyed being involved in the community. She was also an avid golfer, a passion that allowed her to enjoy the outdoors and the companionship of family and friends. Above all, Phyllis cherished moments spent with her family. Her presence at gatherings was the heart of many cherished traditions and joyous celebrations.
Those who knew Phyllis will remember her as the epitome of kindness. She was thoughtful and caring. Phyllis's legacy is one of compassion, grace, and a quiet strength that inspired those around her.
Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sharon Wednesday morning August 7th at 11:00 am. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Wednesday morning prior to the mass from 9:00 to 10:30a.m. Burial will follow the mass at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Sharon.
