It is with great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude, the Lovetere family announces the passing of Peter, our beloved rock, husband, father, grampy, son, brother and friend. Peter Michael Lovetere died after over a two year journey with lung cancer, battling bravely until the very end, never losing hope or his optimistic mindset.
Peter left this world on the early morning of August 20th, 2023 at the age of 62 with his wife Kathy and children Matt, Billy and Maggie, by his side. Always up early to watch the sunrise, and trying to catch a good sunset, Peter was a beautiful person inside and out. He cared so deeply for the people around him and the things he believed in. He was so kind and passionate about everything. He made a positive impact on many lives and will forever be missed.
Pete’s life will be remembered by his family and friends for 2 days at PeteFest, which will take place at his family home on 29 Rebecca Rd, Canton MA 02021. Amongst many other things, Pete loved music, nature, and family, all of which will be celebrated. He was a lover of life, worshiper of the sun and mountains, and spent as much time as he could outdoors. We will gather to share our favorite stories and memories on Thursday and Friday, September 14th and 15th from 4-8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks for you to donate in Pete’s memory for lung cancer research to the Jimmy Fund Walk/Team Tara.
