Pauline Douvris Obituary

Pauline (Andrews) Douvris of Walpole, formerly of Roslindale, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was 96. Daughter of the late Charles and Katherine (Kyratso) Andrews. Beloved mother of Cheryl Vozzella and her husband Edward of Walpole, Karen Guinan and her husband Jack of Dedham, and the late Andrea Elliot. Loving Yiayia (grandmother) of Nicole MacKay and her husband Scott, Stephanie Cullen and her husband Mark, John Guinan, Lindsay Wright and her husband Kenny, and Donovan Whitman and his wife Mariah. Cherished Big Yiayia (great grandmother) of Alexandra, Brayden, Andrew, Harrison, Hannah, William, Caroline, Mackenzie, Alayla, Pejuta and Maddox. Her family was her pride and joy, and she found great happiness in playing games with her great-grandchildren, giving them treats, and sending them home with a little extra spending money.

With a career spanning several years, Pauline dedicated her professional life to J. Baker Shoe Co. in Readville, where she served as an Administrative Assistant. Pauline was a fun-loving spirit who never outgrew the joy of life. She thrived in the company of others, always eager to be surrounded by friends and family. No matter her age, she was never too old to try new things, embracing each opportunity with enthusiasm and a smile. Her playful nature and zest for life made her a beloved presence. Pauline’s generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand touched everyone she met.

Pauline’s love for her family and her Greek heritage shaped a life full of warmth, kindness, and lasting connections. Proud of her roots, she enjoyed bringing people together with delicious Greek food at every gathering, always ensuring no one went home hungry.

Pauline was a symbol of elegance, known for her impeccable style and grace. Her fashion reflected her refined taste, and she effortlessly made every outfit look chic. She inspired her family to live by her high standards.

Though her departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, they find comfort in the countless memories she created and the enduring impact of her love.
