Paula V. Pariseau (MacDougall), passed away peacefully on October 12, 2023, in Milton, MA. Born on January 3, 1947, in Taunton, MA, Paula was the daughter of the late Ralph and Catherine MacDougall, and a loving sister to Patricia Aston of Rhode Island and her brother Ralph MacDougall of Bourne.
Paula was devoted to her family. She was the loving wife of Richard Pariseau and the proud mother of Michael Pariseau and his wife JeanMarie of Rhode Island, Melissa Torre and her husband Dominic of Needham, and Stephen Pariseau and his partner Krystie Apgar of Norton. As a grandmother, she deeply loved her grandchildren, William and Heather Pariseau of Rhode Island, and Declan and Brooke Pariseau of Millville.
Paula was a 1964 graduate of Taunton High School where she was a class officer for 4 years. Paula's academic pursuits led her to Stonehill College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She furthered her education at Boston College School of Social Work, graduating with an MSW in 1970. Paula's passion for helping others guided her career path, leading her to serve as a social worker in adoptions and in various hospitals. Her nurturing nature also led her to dedicate 25 years of her life to educating young minds, serving as a pre-school teacher in Sharon, and working summers at a local day camp.
Paula enjoyed outdoor adventures and family activities. She liked camping, an activity she shared with her children by taking them on several long distance camping trip. Her favorite recent camping locations were Curlew Pond in Myles Standish State Forest in Plymouth, Massachusetts, where she spent the last 15 summers with cherished friends
Paula's beautiful personality, her caring nature, and her love for family will be deeply missed. She was a source of love and strength, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrow in 59 Cottage St. Sharon, MA 02067 on Friday October 20th at 10 a.m.
