Paul Matthews

Paul R. Matthews age 54 passed away suddenly March 8th at the Caritas Norwood Hospital. Born in Boston he lived most of his life in Canton graduating from Canton High School, UMass Amherst and Suffolk University Law School. He was an Attorney for the law offices of Cosgrove, Eisenberg & Kiley in Quincy. He was an active member of the Town of Canton where he was a former youth hockey coach, former member of the Town Finance Committee and was currently serving on the School Committee. Over the years he had been active in several other youth sports programs with his children and served on several other town committees. Beloved husband of Suzanne B. (Buckley). Father of Julia, Kate & Alex Matthews all of Canton. Son of Cleo Matthews of Canton & the late Alexander Matthews. Brother of the late Stephen Matthews. Son in law of Joyce Buckley of Canton & the late Paul Buckley. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Wednesday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Thursday morning at 10:30. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
