Paul English Obituary

Paul G. English, born on May 7, 1950, in Newton, Massachusetts, passed away on April 2, 2026, at Boston Medical Center, South. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, grand uncle, and friend whose life was marked by quiet strength, steady work, and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures that made each day meaningful.

He was the son of the late Rose M. and George P. English. He is survived by his siblings, James M. English and his wife Pamela of Needham, and Joanne English Desmarais and her husband Bruce of Stoughton. He was a loving uncle of Robert Savill Jr. and his wife Kasia of Stoughton, and a cherished great uncle of Julianna Rose Savill and Robert Savill III, both of Stoughton, and a longtime friend Marcia Dunham. His family was an important part of his life, and he valued the close connections he shared with them throughout the years.

Raised in Newton, Paul graduated from Newton North High School, where he began the path that would lead him into a lifetime of dependable work and practical skill. He later lived in Westboro before making his home in Dedham for the past 20 years. In each place he lived, he carried with him a calm and unassuming nature that earned the respect of those who knew him.

Paul spent more than 25 years working as a Machinist for            Parker Hannifin Corp. in Bedford. He was known for his strong work ethic, his reliability, and the care he brought to his trade. His long career reflected the kind of person he was, someone who took pride in doing a job well and who understood the value of dedication and consistency. Through his work, he formed lasting connections and contributed in a meaningful way to the life of his workplace and community.

Outside of work, Paul found happiness in the outdoors. In younger years he enjoyed canoeing and fishing. In more recent years he spent many afternoons at his nephew’s landscaping and construction shop. Paul enjoyed visiting the local casinos and appreciated the quiet moments spent outside at his home. He also loved his cats, who brought him companionship and comfort over the years. These interests were among the many things that brought him joy and helped define the warmth of his everyday life.

Paul will be remembered for his kind spirit, his steady presence, and the many ways he enriched the lives of those around him. He lived a life rooted in family, hard work, and simple pleasures, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will remain a source of comfort to his family and to those who were fortunate enough to share in his life
