Michael J Micchelli

Michael J. Micchelli, passed away suddenly on February 23, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on January 28, 1942, in Newark, New Jersey, Michael was the son of the late Michael and Ethel Micchelli. He spent the majority of his life in the close-knit town of Canton, Massachusetts, where he was a respected figure both professionally and personally.

A family man at heart, Michael biggest joys were his two daughters, Gina Micchelli of Canton and Christina Micchelli of Sharon, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride. Though he outlived his siblings—the late Joseph Micchelli, the late Joan Sylvester, and the late Marion Carroll—Michael's memories with them remained a cherished part of his life's tapestry.

He was an active member of the Canton Town Club and enjoyed spending time there and especially with Barry, Richie, and Donald.

Michael loved going to the casinos. However, it was the serene beaches and warm sun of Aruba that truly captured his heart. Michael loved spending time in Aruba at the Divi and with his extended family, the Petrocchi’s, where he created countless memories that he would fondly recount to friends and family.

Michael's legacy is one of love, perseverance, and the joy he found in the simple pleasures of life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire those he left behind

As we bid farewell to Michael, we celebrate a life well-lived and the unbreakable bonds of family and friendship. He has journeyed on, leaving us with the echoes of his laughter and the example of a life lived to the fullest. Rest in peace, Michael. Your memory will forever be a beacon of light for all who had the pleasure of knowing you.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home in Canton of Thursday, March 12th at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private for the family.
