Matthew Christian

Matthew G. Christian age 25 of Canton passed away unexpectedly January 31st . Born in Newton he was a lifelong resident of Canton and graduated from Canton High School. He received his Bachelors Degree from Bryant College and he was extremely proud that he earned his MBA from Curry College. Matty worked as a Sales Manager for Republic Plumbing Supply. He loved water sports and was an exceptional swimmer who held World Records in Swimming in the Paralympics and was an alternate for the US Team in the Paralympics during the Australian Games. Matty also enjoyed volunteering his time as an Inspirational Speaker to help others with disabilities. Beloved son of Jerry & Allie (Vogel) Christian of Canton, Brother of Michael E. of Canton. Grandson of Edward & Stella Vogel of Falmouth & the late Paul & Nancy Christian. Beloved nephew of June Duggan of Canton & her late husband Bill who were like grandparents to Matt throughout his life. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Wednesday 4-8 pm. Funeral service at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Thursday morning at 10:30. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Mass Hospital School Recreational Department 3 Randolph St. Canton, MA 02021.
