Mary Barron Obituary

Mary I. Barron, a cherished matriarch and beacon of warmth, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024, at Care One in Wilmington, MA. Born in Boston, MA, Mary lived a life marked by love, kindness, and the joy of family connections.

Mary's journey began in the close-knit community of Hyde Park, where she was raised and educated. Her early years set the foundation for the compassionate and caring person she would become, traits that would define her throughout her life. As a devoted wife to the late Charles F. Barron, Mary's partnership was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Together, they built a family and a legacy of love that would continue for generations.

Her role as a mother was one of Mary's greatest joys and accomplishments. She is survived by her loving children: Rosemary Chubb (and her late husband Lewis) of Duxbury, Charles P. Barron and his wife Linda of Plymouth, and Cynthia Wells and her husband Bruce of Bedford. Her gentle guidance and unconditional support were the cornerstones of her children's lives, and her influence will live on through them.

In addition to her immediate family, Mary was the proud sister of Louise Kornmuller of Norwood, Linda Cofran of Stoughton, Catherine Cofran of FL, and Manuel "Junior" Simoes of Stoughton.
She was pre-deceased by sisters Patricia Kudryk, Irene Belmonte, and Rose Powell, Her brothers, Anthony Simoes, Richard Simoes, Robert Simoes, and Johnny Simoes

Her familial bonds extended to her role as a doting grandmother to Cameron Barron, Ashley Fecteau, Mirabela Wells, Connor Wells, and Lewis Chubb. She also embraced the title of great-grandmother with joy, cherishing every moment with Madigan Chubb, Catherine Barron, Isla Barron, Ava Barron, and Remi Fecteau.

Mary's life was one of active engagement and passion. Beyond her dedication to her family, she found solace and joy in her hobbies. As an avid crocheter, she created countless pieces that will serve as tangible memories of her talent and thoughtfulness. Mary also was an enthusiastic member of a Sewing Club that met weekly, sharing laughter and camaraderie with her sisters and friends in Stoughton.

The words loving, kind, and thoughtful only begin to capture the essence of Mary. Her ability to make everyone around her feel cherished was unmatched, and her presence was a source of comfort and happiness. Her legacy is one of selfless devotion to her family, a profound ability to nurture relationships, and the countless lives she touched with her gentle spirit.

Mary's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of devotion, care, and love. While her presence will be profoundly missed, the memories she created will continue to warm the hearts of those who knew her. Her impact on this world was as substantial as it was quiet, and her legacy will endure through the lives of her family and the many people she touched.

As we bid farewell to Mary I. Barron, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a soul that enriched the world simply by being part of it. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the love she gave so freely. Mary's life was a gift to us all, and her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
