Lorraine T. Hogan

Lorraine Thomas Hogan, 78, passed away on August 14th following a long illness. Born in San Mateo, CA, she spent time living in various places including St. Louis, New Orleans, and Mexico City, eventually finding her way to New England where she met and married her late husband, William John Hogan Jr, spending the final four decades in her adopted home of Canton. She is survived by her three children, Patrick Hogan and his wife Sarah Mealey of Malden, MA, Michael Hogan of Canton, MA, and Katherine Barry and her husband Joseph Barry of Norwood, MA. She is also survived by her brother Craig Thomas of Los Gatos, CA. She leaves behind many of her husband’s siblings, as well her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lastly, she leaves behind her three beloved grandsons, Lucas, Jackson, and Tucker Barry of Norwood, MA.
She worked many years as a food service worker for both Canton Public Schools and Massachusetts Hospital School. She served as a CCD teacher for St. John’s the Evangelist Parish. She also spent many years doing volunteer work for Canton Animal Control and Canton Food Pantry. She spent her free time reading, crocheting, and spending time with her many pets. Her final years she dedicated as much time as she could to creating lifelong memories with her nephews. Funeral Service e at Dockray and Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday morning at 11:00 am.  Visiting hours Sunday 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
