Lewis C. Mason, 79, of Plymouth, MA passed away on April 14, 2026 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He was the loving father of Marylew Closson and her husband Shawn and grandfather, lovingly called “Bumpy” to David M. Lis and Carolyn I. Lis and longtime boyfriend Connor Brown. Lewis was the brother of Regina LeClaire and husband Bob of Milan, NH and was predeceased by his brothers Everett “Jim” Mason and Bruce Mason. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews,
Lewis was a quiet man with many hobbies and a love for using his hands. He spent years working in Cabinetry, body work on motor vehicles, and many years of factory work at BIW and Pixley Richards.
Lewis loved his family deeply and especially loved dining out, shopping with his granddaughter as well as working on and talking all things cars with his grandson.
Lewis will be remembered for his “Bumpy jokes”, his strong stubborn side to overcome, as well as his quiet and calm manner. Though he is no longer present, the love, laughter, and adventures shared with him will never be forgotten.
Funeral services will be private for the family.
