Kevin Andrew Close

Kevin Andrew Close of Canton, formerly of Dedham, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, at the age of 65.

Kevin was the dear father of Whitney Close of Rhode Island, and Ryan Close and his fiancée Amanda of Norwood, Massachusetts. He was the proud and loving grandfather—known affectionately as “Papa”—to Scarlett Riley and Austin Close.

He was the beloved son of Rosaleen Close and the late George Close, and shared an especially close and loving bond with his mother, who remained a constant source of comfort and support throughout his life. He was a brother to Maureen Dickie, George Close and his wife Marcia, Paul Close and his wife Andrea, and Dennis Close and his wife Nancy. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Bill Dickie. He was a loving uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

At the family’s request, funeral services will be held privately.
