Josephine Cappelletti Obituary

Josephine M. Cappelletti, aged 98, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2024, at her home in Canton, MA. Born on March 19, 1926, in Boston, MA, Josephine was a woman of remarkable spirit and grace, cherished by all who knew her. As the daughter of the late Pasquale and Rosina Cappelletti, she grew up in a loving family, which later expanded to include her devoted siblings and their families.

Josephine attended local schools in Boston, where she received an education that would serve her well throughout her life. After completing her studies, she embarked on a career as a clerk at Lenox Cleaners. Her diligent work ethic and warm personality made her a favorite among her colleagues and customers alike.

Josephine spent her early years in the vibrant neighborhoods of Dorchester and Roxbury. It wasn't long before she found her permanent home in Canton, where she lived for over 55 years. During her time in Canton, Josephine became and active parishioner at St. Oscar Romero Parish, formerly known as St. John's. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she participated in church activities with joy and dedication.

Josephine's love for her family was paramount. She had a close knit Italian family with 6 sisters and two brothers and was survived loving sisters Natalie Y. Cappelletti and Elena J. Cappelletti, both of Canton, and predeceased by siblings Dora DiLiegro, Frank Cappelletti, John Cappelletti, Mary Antonelli, and Ann Closson. Her role as a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews was one she embraced with enthusiasm, always eager to share in their lives and celebrate their achievements.

Her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to experience her kindness and generosity. Josephine's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, faith, and community. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide those she has left behind.

As we say farewell to Josephine M. Cappelletti, we celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy of unwavering support, compassion, and grace. She will be remembered for her bright smile, her nurturing heart, and her unfaltering commitment to the people and values she held dear. Though she has departed from this world, her spirit will reside forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
