Joseph Barss Obituary

Joseph P. Barss age 61 of Canton passed away March 8th at home. Born in Brockton, he was a lifelong resident of Canton. He graduated from Canton High School and New England Institute of Mortuary Science. Joe worked for the Town of Canton DPW before retiring and previously worked as a Professional Assistant at Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home for many years. He was a member of the Nickerson Society in Chatham, the Canton Historical Society and the Nova Scotia Genealogy Society. Beloved brother of Roberta A. of Monument Beach, Lorraine M. of CA, Dorothy E. of Norwood, William C. of Swampscott and the late Joan M. Sakalaukus & Charles A. Jr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services private. Donations may be made in his memory to the Richard A. Stein Animal Shelter 801 Washington St. Canton, MA 02021
