With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of John “Jack” Hogan, 76 of Canton, MA a devoted husband, father, grandfather, cousin, and friend. Passed away peacefully at home on May 31, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Jack fought a courageous battle with cancer, facing his illness with strength and determination. Throughout his life, he taught his family the importance of strength, love, loyalty, and perseverance. His unwavering dedication to those he loved left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Born on January 26, 1950, in Boston, Massachusetts, Jack was the son of John and Ann Hogan. He was raised in Dorchester, where he attended Catholic Memorial High School, and later earned his bachelor’s degree from Boston State College. He made his home in Canton beginning in 1976.

He was the beloved husband of Anne Marie Hogan. Together they built a life centered on family, friendship, and faith. They enjoyed daily walks, trips to the gym, dining with family and quiet time at home. Their marriage was marked by devotion, laughter, and a deep appreciation for life's simple moments together.

He is survived by his son, Robert Hogan, and his wife, Tracy, and their children, Cian Hogan and partner Ashlyn Beshears, Caroline Hogan, and great-grandchild, Tate, of Clemmons, North Carolina; his daughter, Tricia Ditullio, and Mike Ditullio, and their children, Kyle Ditullio and partner Meg Libby and Emily Ditullio, of Franklin, Massachusetts; his son, Will O'Connell, and his wife, Kelly, and their children, Luke, Jase, and Ayla, of Canton, Massachusetts; and his daughter, Kelly Mason, and her husband, Kevin, of Weymouth, Massachusetts. He also leaves behind his cousin (sister), Ann O'Brien, of Dorchester. He was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret Hogan.

Jack spent his career as a claims representative for the Social Security Administration, where he was known for his steady demeanor, professionalism, and willingness to help others. His work reflected the same sense of responsibility and care that guided him throughout his life. Those who knew him will remember a man who approached his duties with patience and integrity and who treated others with respect.

Jack found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid Boston Bruins fan and especially loved listening to music, with The Rolling Stones holding a special place among his favorites. He also cherished his pool time and spending time with his beloved Golden Retriever, Jagger, whose companionship brought him great happiness.

Jack will be remembered for his loyalty, his quiet strength, and the deep love he held for his family. He was a man who valued tradition, remained rooted in the community where he lived for so many years, and found joy in the company of those closest to him. Jack will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friendships he formed, and the example he set through his kindness, dedication, and enduring love.
