John C. Dentino

John C. Dentino Jr, age 84, of Marshfield, formerly of Sharon, passed away in the early hours of August 24th at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth surrounded by his loved ones. Born and raised in Waltham, he graduated from Waltham High School and was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. He started out as a landscaper, worked in construction, and became a master pipe fitter. He was drawn to the ocean by his love for fishing. For many years he was a commercial fisherman for Tuna, Cod, Scallops and Sea Urchins. He was the Beloved husband of the late Rita A. (Borrazzo), and he is survived by his daughter Catherine Raymond and husband Thomas of Taunton, and his son John C. Dentino III and wife Nicole of Marshfield. He was the loving grandfather to Sandra Berg, John C. Dentino IV, and Thomas Raymond JR. Great grandfather to Rylee Berg and Eliana Berg. Funeral service will be held at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington St. Canton on Thursday August 31st at 1 pm. Visiting hours prior to the service Thursday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery, located in Sharon.
