James Howard Jr. Obituary

James “Jimmy” M. Howard Jr., age 52, of Stoughton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on October 1, 1973, he was the beloved son of Beverly Howard of Stoughton. He was raised in Dedham, where he built the foundation of a life rooted in hard work, loyalty, and family. He graduated from Dedham High School and later continued his education at Franklin Institute, where he earned his associate’s degree. Those who knew him understood that he valued learning, practical knowledge, and the satisfaction that came from doing a job well.
Jimmy spent much of his working life as a machinist for the Boston Globe, where he was respected for his skill, dependability, and steady presence. He approached his work with care and pride, and he was known as someone who could be counted on to meet each day with commitment and professionalism.
In addition to his career, Jimmy enjoyed reading, playing chess, and hanging out with friends. He was also a former member of the Elks Club in West Roxbury, where he shared in fellowship and community. He appreciated good company and familiar routines.
Jimmy will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Beverly Howard of Stoughton; his sister, Denise Williams, and her husband, Dale, of Foxboro; and his niece and nephews, Rachel, Mason, and Hunter Williams, who brought joy to his life. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and James Howard Sr. of Florida.
Jimmy had a kind and generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Though his passing leaves a deep void, his memory will remain a source of comfort to those who were fortunate enough to know him. His family and friends will remember his presence with gratitude and affection, and they will carry forward the many ways he enriched their lives. May he be remembered with love and peace.
