James F. Cleary Jr.

James F. Cleary, Jr. of Canton, MA was born December 21, 1927 in Paxton, MA. Jim was 95 when he passed away on Jun 23, 2023 at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood. He was the son of the late Florence (Miller) and James Cleary. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII with a rank of Sergeant. After the military he worked at Boston Sand and Gravel and then worked for Drapers Knitting Mill in Canton for over 30 years.  Jim enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and spending time with family. He was predeceased by his siblings Beatrice Wentworth, Rita Cooper, Evelyn Gilligan, Florence O’Donnell, John Cleary, Joseph Cleary, Phillip Cleary, Paul Cleary, Raymond Cleary, and Ronald Cleary. He was also the uncle of many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Oscar Romero Church in Canton Tuesday morning June 27th at 10:30.  Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
