Jae Sun Hong, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, in Boston, MA, at the age of 83. Born in Seoul, Korea, on May 28, 1942, Jae's journey was marked by his resilience, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.

After completing his education in Korea, where he was born and raised, Jae immigrated to the United States in 1979, bringing with him a heart full of dreams and a determination to build a bright future. He not only succeeded in his personal aspirations but also became a respected business owner in his adopted neighborhood of Roxbury, where his clothing store, D & J, served as a cornerstone of the local community for many years.

Jae's life was a testament to the power of hard work and the importance of strong community ties. He was an active and beloved member of the QYPC Church in Quincy, where he found great joy in fellowship and service. He was a guiding force for many throughout his life, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to anyone in need.

An avid golfer, Jae could often be found on the green, enjoying the companionship of his friends and the serenity of the sport he loved. His social nature and infectious laughter were a source of light to all who knew him. Jae's presence was a gift, and his absence will be deeply felt on the fairways and beyond.

Jae leaves behind a legacy of love and perseverance. He is survived by his beloved children, Hye-Seung Hong of Korea, Grace Hong of Los Angeles, CA, and Vicky Hong of Quincy, MA. His memory will also be cherished by his sister, Chung Hi Park of Sharon and his vast extended family and friend network. Each family member carries forward the lessons of kindness, strength, and compassion that Jae embodied throughout his life.

As we bid farewell to Jae Sun Hong, we remember a man whose life was full of purpose and joy. He was a beacon of hope and a pillar of strength to his family and friends.
