Gregory Picozzi

Gregory Picozzi, 69, passed away suddenly on June 7, 2023 at his home in Canton. Born in Boston, he graduated from Hyde Park High School.  He was the vice president of a telecommunications company and the owner of Fresh Start Home Maintenance before retiring to become a full-time “Papa” to his grandchildren.

Greg enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Wampatuck Country Club and the Canton Town Club. He also enjoyed watching sports, his golden retrievers and spending time in his backyard. But most of all he enjoyed being goofy and playing with his five beautiful grandchildren whom he was enormously proud of. He was previously active in Canton Little League and Little Blues. He was extremely outgoing, a great neighbor and a friend to all. 

Greg was the third child of the late Edward C. Picozzi and the late Marie Violet Picozzi, both of Boston. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann (Gately) Picozzi, of Canton; his children, Tara (Picozzi) Mahoney of Canton, Gregory E. Picozzi of Boston, Joseph D. Picozzi of Canton and Joseph’s wife, Kait (Erickson) Picozzi; his grandchildren, Rosalin and Callum Mahoney, and Quinn, Camryn and Hayden Picozzi; his brother Edward Picozzi and Edward’s wife, Collette Reinsant, of Cumberland, RI; his sister Regina Picozzi Hayman of Canton; his sister Maria Picozzi Morrison of Plainville; and a large extended family.

He will be deeply missed by his entire family, his countless friends and the many people who he touched with his loving personality and smile.

Funeral service at Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Thursday morning at 11:00 am.   Visiting hours Wednesday 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial private. 

In keeping with Greg’s loving and generous spirit, it was his decision to donate life so that others may live. Donations may be made in Greg’s memory to New England Donor Services at neds.org or 60 First Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
