Frances R. Singarella(Perriello) of Sharon, born June 29, 1930, passed away at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, MA with her daughters by her side on Wednesday August 30, 2023. Predeceased by her husband Joseph R. Singarella also of Sharon where they raised their family-Ann Marie Singarella Burns of Sharon and Lisa Singarella Pergamo and her husband Glenn Pergamo of Burlington, MA.
Frances graduated from St. Gregory High School in Dorchester. In her younger years she was a competitive Roller Skater and Costume Designer at Shoals Riverview and Shavou Roller Skating Rink.
Frances and her soulmate Joseph were married on July 18, 1953. They met while serving in the United States Navy where Frances was a “Wave” stationed in Squantum, MA, She enlisted on January 16, 1950 and was Honorably Discharged on September 25, 1953.
Frances was known as “Mimi” by her grandchildren that were her pride and joy, Ashley Pergamo, daughter of Lisa and Glenn Pergamo and Private Burns, Robert J. USMC, son of Ann Marie Singarella Burns.
She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Anna (Bacigalupo) Perriello, her brothers Leonard and Michael, and her sisters- Sister Ann Theresa (Franciscan Sisters), Mary Rogers and Agnes Mitchell. Loved by her sister and best friend Janet Kaplan, sister in law Joan Perriello and Mary Trio and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, great grand nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church 59 Cottage St., Sharon Tuesday morning at 10:00. Burial following mass at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
