RAY, Elsie Blanche of Boston, MA passed away on October 13 at the age of 99. Residing in Norwood, MA for 25 years. Elsie grew up in Hyde Park, MA, married her late husband Chester James Gerlach. She was survived by her brother Juney and her devoted daughter, Teresa Gagne and her husband Keith, along with her son James "Chuck" Gerlach and wife Joyce. “Nana,” a devoted and loving grandmother to her granddaughter Elizabeth Rae Fermano and grandson Sean William Donahue. Elsie also survived by her dear friend Mudiu. Elsie enjoyed working at the Dedham Public Library and Dedham Town Hall, where she considered them to be second family, retired at the age of 83. Elsie enjoyed singing in the choir, entertaining, the closeness of all of her cousins, loved visits from her four-legged friends Arlo, Tilly, and Babygirl, where treats were never scarce. Elsie will always be remembered for her Italian cooking, her secret recipes and Christmas Eve traditions. Family would like to thank the support from Hospice Accent Care. Services will be private.
