Elayne F. Scarcella, of Canton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories.
Born on January 19, 1943, in East Boston, Elayne lived a life rooted in family, education, and simple joys. She was a proud graduate of Emmanuel College, where she began a lifelong commitment to learning and teaching.
Elayne devoted over 38 years to the Revere Public School System, where she was a beloved teacher who touched the lives of countless students. Her patience, warmth, and passion for education left a lasting impact on her community.
She was the cherished sister of the late Marie Penta and the late Dolores Zizza.
Elayne is survived by her loving husband, Rosario Scarcella; her devoted daughter, Meredith Barbalho and her husband Daniel; her son, David Scarcella and his wife Sue; and her four adored grandchildren, Gabi, Ali, Sofia, and Michael. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in each of them.
Elayne found great joy in traveling and especially treasured time spent relaxing on the beach, where she felt most at peace.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering dedication to her family and students, and the warmth she brought into every room. Elayne’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends invited to attend a Funeral Service at the Chapel at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton Saturday May 9th at 11:00 am.
