Obituary

Della C. O’Donnell (Johnson), 71, of South Easton, died peacefully on August 19, 2023.  Della was proud to be OFD (Originally From Dorchester). She spent over 25 years at Carney Hospital in a variety of roles that included being a nurse’s aide and working in accounts payable before she retired out of Steward Healthcare.  She was a Survivor Fan, diehard Boston Sports Fan, especially for the Patriots and Tom Brady.  But, more importantly, she was a superfan of her nieces’ and nephews’ extracurriclular activities and spent many cold days in the bleachers and on the sidelines to support them.  Family and friends (and dogs) were always at the forefront for Della.  She loved to be a part of special occasions and vacations with family and friends. She enjoyed cookouts, cruises, and trips to NH, FL, Sebago Lake, and the Outer Banks.  She will be remembered and missed for her fun-loving spirit, her generosity, and her kindness.  Loving daughter of the late William and Delia Johnson. Devoted wife of Peter O’Donnell of South Easton and predeceased by her beloved dog, Sammy.  Loving sister of Mary Maguire and her husband Thomas Maguire of Canton, Michael Johnson of Brockton, Richard Johnson of CA, the late William Johnson, the late Jane and Joseph Wrenn, the late Margaret Moriconi and her husband Rino Moriconi of Billerica, and the late Ann Burke and her husband William Burke of Canton. Loving sister-in-law of Debra Petipas of Norton, Kathleen Willis of Keene, NH, and the late Nora Albert.  Proud “Auntie” of numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.  Also survived by many dear friends.

Relatives and friends invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St Oscar Romero Church, Canton Friday morning at 11:00 am.  Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday morning prior to the mass from 9:00 to 10:30 am.  Burial private.
