Daniel Slaney

Daniel J. Slaney age 51 of Canton passed away suddenly May 19th at Brigham & Womens Hospital in Boston. Born in Boston, he was raised in Roslindale and graduated from Roslindale High School and attended Boston State College and has lived in Canton for the past 20 years. He worked as a Truck Driver for the Boston Globe for over 30 years and was a member of Teamsters Local 259 in Boston. Beloved husband of the late Marianne (Walsh). Father of Danielle M., Elizabeth A. & Patrick D. all of Canton. Son of Richard of Roslindale and the late Joan Slaney. He was also survived by a brother Richard & a sister Joanne. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Thursday 5-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Friday morning at 10:30. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. He was a 30 year employee of the Boston Globe and a member of the Teamsters Local # 259, Boston.
