Cynthia L. Thompson (Andrews) 69, passed away peacefully on October 21st, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones at PAM Specialty Hospital of Stoughton.
Cynthia was born and raised in Brockton, MA and remained a lifelong resident. In 1991, she graduated from Southeastern Regional Technical Institute with a diploma from the Licensed Practical Nursing Program. As an LPN her true calling was working at nursing homes with Alzheimer’s patients. She was such a skilled nurse that she quickly rose to the top at every place she worked, and eventually retired from the Copley at Stoughton.
Cynthia’s most beloved hobby was knitting and crocheting. Receiving one of her handmade items was a real treasure. She enjoyed many family vacations to Cape Cod with her husband Samuel. Going to the beach was her happy place. As an avid animal lover, her pets always brought her true joy, including the outside cats that she cared for. Cynthia also like watching movies on her big screen tv, using Alexa, listening to music, houseplants, bird watching, cooking, and trying new recipes. She absolutely adored and enjoyed spending time with her three grandchildren. Family meant the world to her.
Cynthia had a great sense of humor and was truly one of a kind. She will be sorely missed.
Cynthia was the beloved wife of the late Samuel Thompson. Mother of Stacy Vincent of Brockton, Leo Vincent Jr. of Brockton, Yvonne Hyland and her husband Matthew of Randolph, Samuel Thompson Jr. and his wife Nicole of Brockton; three grandchildren Sabrina, Samuel, London; several nieces and nephews.
Cynthia was the daughter to the late James A. and Norma Y. (Charette) Andrews Jr.; sister of James Andrews III and his late wife Michelle of Brockton, Pamela Murphy and fiancé Stan Sicinski of Wareham, Robert Andrews and his wife Helen Andrews of Brockton.
A graveside service will be held at Knollwood Memorial Park Thursday 11/2 at 10am. If you wish you can dedicate a donation in Cynthia’s name to the American Cancer Society.
