Cymbrid Fogg Sr. Obituary

Cymbrid Hughes Fogg Sr., an esteemed church community member, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, at the age of 93 in his home of Brightview, Canton, Massachusetts. Born on December 14, 1931, in Albany, New York, he was the son of the late John and Gwendolyn (Hughes) Fogg. His journey through life was marked by devotion to family and an enduring love for music and sports as an accomplished amateur pianist and candlepin bowler.

At an early age, Cymbrid moved with his family to Maine, where he attended Cape Elizabeth High School and continued on to Bentley College in Boston. Cymbrid dedicated 27 years to the IT department of Bank of Boston, retiring in 1990.

Cymbrid married the love of his life, Claudia Higgins, in 1964. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Cymbrid Fogg Jr. and his wife Angela of Bakersfield, CA, and Clifford Fogg and his wife Lori of South Attleboro, MA. He was a loving brother to Carol Fogg Bishop of Birmingham, AL. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Morgan Dunn, and two great-granddaughters, Dallas and Brooklyn Dunn, all of Nevada.

A resident of Sharon, MA, for 51 years before moving to Canton, Cymbrid was an active member of First Congregational Church of Sharon. He was a staple of the church choir and served on many church committees. He extended his connection in the town of Sharon by joining the Community Garden Association where he was a keen grower of vegetables.

Cymbrid Hughes Fogg, Sr. lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and a quiet strength that endeared him to all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. His memory will be treasured by all who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire. As he takes his rest, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved.
