Colleen Mulligan Obituary

Colleen A. Mulligan, passed away peacefully in Gibsonville, NC, on March 16, 2024. Born in Norwood, MA, Colleen's infectious smile and generous spirit were a gift to all who knew her throughout her 56 years of life.

Colleen's early years were spent in the town of Canton, where she was raised by her mother, Joan Digiacomo and her grandparents, Mary and Charles Stevenson where she formed lifelong friendships. She graduated from Canton High School before furthering her education at the University of Phoenix.

Professionally, Colleen dedicated 22 years to General Dynamics where she excelled as a Senior Account Payable Manager. Her colleagues knew her as a friendly and supportive presence, someone who brought both professionalism and joy to the workplace.

Beyond her professional life, Colleen was an avid New England Patriots sports fan.

Colleen's love for animals reflected her compassionate nature. She found joy in the company of pets, her outgoing personality and her ability to connect with others which she spread to the state of North Carolina when she moved in 2016.

Family was the cornerstone of Colleen's life. Colleen was married to Steven S. Sera for 26 years. She was a beloved mother to Steven C. Mulligan, his wife Brittany and John W. Mulligan. Her role as a mother was one she cherished deeply, guiding her sons with a loving hand and supporting them in all their endeavors. Colleen's legacy is also carried on through her mother, Joan Digiacomo, and her sister, Cathy Berger. The bond she shared with them was unbreakable, and her memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration to her family.

Colleen had the rare ability to brighten a room with her presence and leave a lasting impression on those she met. As we remember Colleen, we hold on to the memories of her laughter, and her unwavering support.

A private service will be held to honor the life and memory of Colleen A. Mulligan, a woman who was truly one of a kind. Colleen's story is not one of sorrow, but a celebration of a life well-lived, and a reminder to us all to approach each day with kindness, love, and a touch of Colleen's unforgettable spirit.
