Anthony Amichetti Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Amichetti, age 99, of Bridgewater, formerly of Dedham, a loving and friendly soul, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023, at Morton Hospital in Taunton, Massachusetts. Born and raised in Watertown, Massachusetts, Tony was a respected and cherished member of his community.

Tony was the beloved husband of Lena Amichetti (Marchionda) for 72 years. Their enduring love story was a testament to Tony's kind and nurturing spirit. He was also the proud father of Anthony Amichetti and his wife Dee of East Walpole, and John Amichetti and his late wife Marsha of Bridgewater. He was predeceased by his son Paul Amichetti, and is survived by his daughter-in-law Jean Amichetti and her husband Steve Lakeland of Easton. Tony's legacy continues in his grandchildren Nicole, A.J., John, and Emily, and his great-grandchildren Ada and Leah.

Tony was the son of the late Achille and Antionette Amichetti. He is survived by his brother George Amichetti and his wife Ginny of Lexington, and his sister Ida Spadano of Westford. He was predeceased by his siblings Dominic, Delores, Santo Amichetti, Elvira Delpapa, and Mary Murphy. Tony is also remembered by his brothers-in-law Albert Marchionda and his late wife Antoinette of Norwood, and Joseph Marchionda and his wife Jan of Brockton.

Tony was a proud Army veteran of World War II. His dedication and courage demonstrated his strong character and resilience. After serving his country, Tony pursued a career as a Jewelry Maker for Bale Pin in Boston, where he worked for many years before retiring. His fine craftsmanship and attention to detail were admired by all who knew him.

Above all, Tony was a devoted family man. His love for his family was evident in everything he did. He was always there for his loved ones, providing support, comfort, and love in abundance. His friendly nature and kindness made him a joy to be around, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Tony's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and friendship. He touched the lives of many with his warm spirit and generous heart. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral Mass at St. Oscar Romero Church, Canton Monday December 4th at 12:30.  Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday morning prior to the mass from 10:00 to 12:00.  Burial Knollwood Memorial Park Canton.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital at https://www.stjude.org./
