Andrew G. Murray, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Braintree, MA, on December 24, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on September 16, 1942, in Norwood, MA, Andrew was the beloved son of the late Andrew and Evelyn Murray. He grew up in the warm and lively town of Dedham, where he attended Dedham High School and formed friendships that would last a lifetime.

Andrew's life was marked by a steadfast dedication to his family and a passion for the simple pleasures in life. He was known for his kind heart, engaging storytelling, and the ability to bring joy to those around him. Andrew was the loving brother of MaryJane Lucas of Bourne, James Murray of Dedham, Alan Murray of Taunton, and he held dear the memory of his late brother, Aubrey Murray. His role as an uncle was one he cherished deeply, and he leaves behind a legacy of fond memories with his many nieces and nephews.

After graduating from high school, Andrew made his way into the workforce, where he honed his skills as a paper cutter at a local printer company. His precision and attention to detail in his craft were a testament to his patient and meticulous nature. Andrew's colleagues knew him as a reliable and hardworking individual who took great pride in his work.

Andrew's life in Mashpee was filled with the hobbies he loved. He was an avid woodworker, a hobby that allowed him to express his creativity and craftsmanship. Visiting hours will be held from 10-12 on Saturday 1/4 at Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at noon at the funeral home.
