Alfred Charles LeBlanc Sr. died peacefully at the age of 72 on April 23, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was a longtime parishioner at St. James Church in Stoughton and attended weekly Sunday Mass. In his free time he enjoyed going to yard sales, snoozing on the recliner with his dogs, tinkering in the yard, and taking care of his chickens. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davison with Laura, camping with friends and family, fishing with his brother Joe on his pontoon boat he built with his nephew Ashton and watching old Western Movies. He was a proud Disabled Veteran of the United States Marine Corp who served in Vietnam earning the Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Medal. He was the Commander for many years of the Wessagussett VFW Post 1399 in East Weymouth. He worked as a Roofer for many years and also for the South Postal Annex in Boston before retiring.
He is the beloved husband for 23 years of Laura R. LeBlanc. He was predeceased by his parents Josephine A. and Joseph A. LeBlanc Sr. Father of Alfred C. LeBlanc Jr, Andrew M. LeBlanc, and Sean P. LeBlanc. Brother of Carol Sawyer and her late husband Steven, Joseph LeBlanc Jr, and Cecilia Centrella and her husband Anthony and the late Richard LeBlanc and Annette Nowacki. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Laura would like to express her gratitude to those who helped with Al’s comfort and care in his final days-Meg, CeCe, Tony, Mary, Lana, Laura B., Mae, Aleesha, Lorraine, Chris, Elaine, and Courtney of Old Colony Hospice.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the burial with Military Honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne Wednesday August 2, 2023 at 11:30 am.
